A simply charming two bedroom apartment, situated on the upper ground floor of an elegant townhouse on Orford Road.
This beautifully presented home has windows on three sides, ensuring it is light filled throughout the day, as well as having plenty of incredibly handy storage for all the necessities of modern life. The reception room (like the rest of the flat) has a high ceiling, which with the light that pours in from the front aspect bay window accentuates the feeling of space. There is ample room here to both relax and dine, meaning this is somewhere that will be in constant use. Directly behind it, off the hallway, is the family bathroom. It features a three piece suite, including a shower over the tub, as well as sleek and stylish tiled walls and flooring.
The two double bedrooms are both well proportioned, with the main one positioned mid-point and the other at the rear. Finally there is the kitchen, which is again at the rear of the property. It has modern fitted units and work surfaces arranged along two walls, with tiled splashbacks.
As we said at the very start, simply charming...
Living here... - It's pretty hard to imagine a location more “central Village” than being on Orford Road. Everything you need is on your doorstep. Need a pint of milk? Then wander along to the award winning Spar (bet you end up coming out with more than a pint though!) Fancy meeting up with mates for something to eat? Try Eat 17, or The Kitchen, or one of the many other restaurants and gastro pubs. Forgoing food and just meeting for a drink? Take your pick – there’s The Queens, The Castle, Wildcard, Mother’s Ruin…OK, so you get the picture. And that’s without heading in the other direction from your front door and hitting Hoe Street, where there is always something to see, do or enjoy.
When it’s time to head to the office, fortunately that’s made just that bit easier by the proximity of Walthamstow Central Station, meaning you can hit the snooze button on the alarm just one more time…
In The Owners Words... - We have lived here since 2004 and enjoyed seeing the village transform into a hub where the community bonds together and neighbours rarely move which gives a village feeling. Our son has benefitted from being at the very popular Henry Maynard Primary School. After school many families meet at Wingfield Park to play and chat which is great for networking in a new community. We have also enjoyed being in the position to get to Oxford Circus in under 30 minutes, Epping Forest in 15 minutes and the village cafes and pubs in 2 minutes.
