A bright, spacious and well laid out two bedroom flat in a modern purpose built block on Fulbourne Road.
Offering 640 square feet of internal space and two proper double bedrooms, this fantastic second floor flat has all the makings of a brilliant first time purchase. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a capacious 220 square feet, providing plenty of room both to relax and entertain. The large window at the lounge end allows the light to flood in, whilst at the other end the kitchen is kitted out with a range of base and eye level units.
As previously mentioned, the two bedrooms are both solid doubles and almost identical in size. Both are decorated in the same neutral tones as the rest of the flat. The shower room is fully tiled and holds a three piece suite, including rainfall shower over the cubicle.
Outside there is an allocated parking space – very handy!
Living here... - Three great gastro pubs are your nearest locals, namely The Bell and The William Morris on Forest Road, and The Duke’s Head on Wood Street . The wonderful Lloyd Park and William Morris Gallery are just down the road, offering a multitude of yearly events such as The Walthamstow Garden Party. Walthamstow Village, with God’s Own Junkyard, Vestry House Museum, and Orford Road (with its excellent independent traders, bars, pubs, and restaurants) is also a short walk away.
In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary - Picture the scene - you are sat in a café, melting into the best hot chocolate you have ever had, watching Morris Dancers whack each other with sticks, whilst a man dressed as a giant ram chases after a group of kids. Wood Street is the kind of place where this sort of stuff happens all the time. As well as events and family fun days, you will also find a load of street art courtesy of Wood Street Walls. Visit Wood Street Indoor Market and roam its narrow corridors which are packed with antiques, vintage, and all sorts of curiosities. Why not visit Homies on Donkeys taqueria, browse through racks of vintage dresses at Gigi's Dressing Room or perhaps indulge in a City Spa Day at Y.Wait Beauty Salon. If you get hungry, The Duke pub is good for beer and burgers, whilst the Flower Pot is a more traditional pub and is fully equipped with pool tables and dart boards. Plus there’s Teras Turkish Barbecue restaurant or The Brothers Fish Bar, which are also popular local haunts. Hollow Ponds boating lake and Epping Forest are just a short walk up Wood Street – both are excellent places to exercise, relax and unwind.
In The Owners Words... - This flat has served us so well as a great first home for myself and my partner over the last few years. Not only is it super light and spacious, with plenty of storage space and a parking space! But for us the best thing is the location. A 20 minute walk through Walthamstow to the tube station (As the first stop on the Victoria line you ALWAYS get a seat even in peak rush hour) and it’s only a few stops on the overground to Hackney and Shoreditch. You also have plenty of great coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, independent shops and markets, yoga studios and even the beautiful Epping Forest on your doorstep. It never takes us more than 15 mins to get a nice cup of coffee, a spot of brunch, a house plant or a country walk!
