An incredibly elegant and stylish three bedroom split level flat on Carisbrooke Road.

This exceptionally well presented home comes in at an impressive 970 square feet, making it larger than many three bedroom houses. To the front of the first floor is a full width lounge diner. The two large windows (complete with café-style shutters) allow the light to flood in, emphasizing the rich tones of the engineered wood flooring and height of the ceiling. It also has exquisite fitted cabinets in the alcoves, built around the feature fireplace. It’s truly a room as adaptable as it is charming, as practical for entertaining as it is to simply relax in.

Behind the lounge diner sits the first of the bedrooms. A solid double, it offers views to the rear, and has plenty of room for free standing storage. There is then a cloakroom with WC and vanity sink unit, before you arrive at the kitchen, which is kitted out with a range of modern fitted units and work surfaces.

Ascend to the second floor, and you’ll find two further bedrooms and the bathroom. At the front sits the largest of the three bedrooms. It’s really impressive, with swathes of fitted wardrobes along one wall, yet still with acres of space in which to move around. It’s a proper main bedroom. The final bedroom is to the rear. It’s currently configured for use as a home office (very handy!) but would also make a great guest room. Finally, there is the family bathroom. It comprises a four piece suite, including a double ended bath and separate shower cubicle.

Living here... - What to do (or more accurately how to find enough time to do it) in this fantastic part of E17? Perhaps take a stroll across Walthamstow Wetlands, Europe’s largest urban wetland nature reserve, for a cup of coffee at Springfield Marina (maybe stopping at The Coppermill pub on the way). Suitably ravenous after all that exercise, pop into Crate St James for some awesome street food, washed down with a cheeky pint from the Untraditional Pub. If it’s a Sunday, check out The Chequers (sorry, terrible pun but couldn’t resist!) for a spot of lunch – the vegetarian roast is amazing. Once Monday comes all too quickly around (sorry again!), the commute into town is made that bit more bearable, thanks to the proximity of Blackhorse Road and St James Street stations. Best stop reading and start doing – the weekend may not be long enough to cram it all in...

In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary - Get off the tube at Walthamstow Central and find the world waiting for you. Honestly, this is no exaggeration - if you want something, you’ll likely find it not too far from the station. The market, the longest in Europe, is busy and thriving, and the perfect spot to pick up fresh fruit and veg. Next to the market we have a shopping centre packed with high street names, and right at the top of the High Street you’ll find the cinema and retail complex. Called The Scene, it is home to a ten screen Empire cinema, Pizza Express, and loads of other bars and restaurants. Just around the corner from this new cinema, is a very old one. The hustle and bustle of the High Street is contrasted by the quiet residential streets that surround it. This part of Walthamstow really gives you the best of both worlds, a shopping hub, nightlife, and peace and quiet at home.

In The Owners Words... - We love the flat as everything you need is within a few minutes’ walk, whether it be the overground station, tube station, supermarket or post office. We’ve spent many sunny days at CRATE St James Street checking out the small local business and trying the various street foods. We’re also spoilt with amazing coffee shops and we’ll definitely miss the local tapas restaurant.
Four years ago, we renovated the entire property and it feels so homely, light and spacious. It’s very tranquil because of the colour scheme and the tree-lined road outside which stays quiet because it’s one-way. There is a huge amount of extra storage space in the loft too which comes in handy.
There is a great sense of community here on Carisbrooke Road and we will take away lots of happy memories from living in the flat.
