A spacious and family friendly three bedroom semi-detached house on The Risings, a peaceful cul-de-sac in Upper Walthamstow.

Recently renovated throughout, this house boast 1200 square feet of light and practical internal space, making it a highly desirable family home. It also has potential to extend further to the rear and into the loft, if required (subject to the usual permissions of course).

The ground floor is essentially open plan, with the rooms merging seamlessly one into the other. To the front the two reception rooms have been opened up to create a large lounge and dining space, the exquisite stripped wood flooring flowing through both and contrasting beautifully with the monochrome walls. This in turn leads onto the third reception space, a glass roofed conservatory cum breakfast room, with views out onto the garden via the large sliding patio doors. The kitchen then sits off the breakfast room, kitted out with a range of modern fitted units and work surfaces...

- Upstairs there are three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Again the colour scheme is essentially monochrome. Of the bedrooms, two are doubles (including a capacious main bedroom to the front) and a single, which we think would make a great home office. The bathroom is fully tiled, and has a three piece suite, including a shower over the tub.

Outside there is a private garden, which is mostly laid to lawn and with a patio area immediately adjacent to the house. There is also a detached garage, which is accessed via a shared driveway to the side of the house – very handy for those muddy bikes!

Living here... - Where to start? Well, how about at The Duke for cocktails and top quality pub grub, or maybe get in some pizzas from Marilucia before heading to the Ravenswood to have your mind blown by dazzling neon at God’s Own Junkyard, all whilst enjoying a pint from one of the breweries there? Alternatively, you could walk on a bit further and sample the many delights of Walthamstow Village, jump on the train at Wood Street station if an evening in town beckons (checking out the street art as you go), or head down the Snaresbrook Road towards the delights of Wanstead.

Wherever you end up, once Sunday morning dawns, what better way to clear the head than with a walk around Hollow Ponds or Epping Forest with your faithful canine companion (and the kids of course!), perhaps stopping for breakfast at one of the many cafes on Wood Street on the way home (go on, you deserve it!) Evening or morning, Winter or Spring, there is always something to do in this fab part of E17…

In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary - Picture the scene - you are sat in a café, melting into the best hot chocolate you have ever had, watching Morris Dancers whack each other with sticks, whilst a man dressed as a giant ram chases after a group of kids. Wood Street is the kind of place where this sort of stuff happens all the time. As well as events and family fun days, you will also find a load of street art courtesy of Wood Street Walls. Visit Wood Street Indoor Market and roam its narrow corridors which are packed with antiques, vintage, and all sorts of curiosities. Why not visit Homies on Donkeys taqueria, browse through racks of vintage dresses at Gigi's Dressing Room or perhaps indulge in a City Spa Day at Y.Wait Beauty Salon. If you get hungry, The Duke pub is good for beer and burgers, whilst the Flower Pot is a more traditional pub and is fully equipped with pool tables and dart boards. Plus there’s Teras Turkish Barbecue restaurant or The Brothers Fish Bar, which are also popular local haunts. Hollow Ponds boating lake and Epping Forest are just a short walk up Wood Street – both are excellent places to exercise, relax and unwind.
