A stylish, inviting and beautifully presented two bedroom garden flat, situated in the southern part of Walthamstow Village.
This 640 square foot ground floor property is wonderfully warm and inviting, offering the perfect mix of period features and modern fixtures, including new double glazed sash windows throughout. To the front sits the lounge. This has a large square bay, complete with beautiful shuttered windows, richly hued stripped wood flooring underfoot and a feature fireplace.
The first of the two double bedrooms sits behind the lounge, off the hallway. It has more of that stripped wood flooring, plenty of room for free standing storage and views to the rear. The second bedroom sits at the very back of the flat. Again it’s a double and currently configured as an office - a great use for it, particularly with so many people currently working from home. It also offers access to the rear garden...
- Between the two bedrooms you’ll find the newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. The former is galley style and kitted out with sleek modern units and wooden work surfaces, and has a door leading to the side which leads to the garden. The latter is as expertly presented as each of the other rooms, and features a three piece suite with shower over the tub.
Outside there is a delightful private garden to the rear. There is plenty of paved patio area – ideal for al fresco dining – together with lawn and border planting.
Living here... - This amazing flat is perched on the very edge of Walthamstow Village, just a few minutes walk from our office on Orford Road. Stroll up to Grove Road, grab a coffee at Huck’s, and then decide what to do with your day (or more accurately how to cram it all in). Check out the menu at The Castle (our favourite is the quinoa and beetroot burger). Alternatively, head to Orford Road, where the culinary choices are pretty much endless (Eat 17, The Kitchen, The Queens Arms, Orford Saloon – need we go on?) If you follow the sounds of the bells at St Mary’s you are bound to pass the Ravenswood, where the neon is always glowing at God’s Own Junkyard and the beers are permanently chilled at Walthamstow’s two breweries. If you need to get further afield then Walthamstow Central station is just a short walk away. Great flat, great location – enough said...
In The Owners Words... - "We have loved this flat since we moved here over four years ago and it’s been filled with many happy memories since, even doing the renovations. We have loved entertaining family and friends with weekends in Walthamstow, everyone feels right at home as soon as they step inside. The flat is in an amazing location with great neighbours and the area has a real sense of local community. We love that it is only a 5 minute stroll to the ‘Village’ and a short walk to the tube. In the summertime the doors are always open to the garden which has been a great space for gatherings and growing fruit and veg. We will miss this home a great deal, but our plans to leave London has meant it is time to say farewell to Granville Road."
