We've been in Walthamstow for 10 years, watching the area evolve and grow. Getting to know the people and their stories as they come and go. Upsizing, downsizing, growth and change. Change is inevitable and that's what makes life interesting.

We brought Estates 17 and Estates 10 together, under one name, combining our teams based in Walthamstow and Leyton to become Estates East. The name might've changed but we're still the same honest, hardworking team from the inception of Estates 17 years ago, with maybe a few different faces.

The local property market, the opportunities, the people, the stories, the community—these are our areas of expertise. With our close, dedicated team you can expect an authentic approach and specialised boutique experience.

Welcome to Estates East.
The next chapter of your story is about to begin.

About the Founders

Neil Collins

"I have been working (and living) in and around Walthamstow for nearly 20 years. In that time I have seen many changes and met a lot of great people. It only seems like yesterday that Estates 17 (as it then was) opened the office on Orford Road, when in fact it was way back in 2013. The team has changed, expanded and evolved over the years but that collaborative and supportive atmosphere is stronger than ever. I get as much pleasure in providing a personal and detailed service to our clients now as I did back then, and I can hand on heart say it is still a pleasure working in the area and with the local community.

Over the last three decades, I have built up a wide skill base in all aspects of estate agency, from residential sales and lettings, through portfolio management and valuation, to commercial sales and lettings. Many of the independent businesses on Orford Road and Francis Road (where our two offices are located) have secured their premises through us, and watching their growth and success alongside our own has been a personal source of pride.

One of the best parts of my job is passing on what I've learned over the years to the team at Estates East. Mentoring junior staff is such an important part of any successful business. Both of my co-directors have grown with the company, progressing through the ranks to their current roles, and I take as much pleasure in their achievements as any of my own.”

Charles Newman

Since joining Estates 17 back in 2013, I can say that I've genuinely enjoyed every day working here - it's probably why I have been here for so long!

I have been interested in the property market since a young age, progressing further once I finished a professional business diploma at Quest Professional. This helped me enhance my understanding of marketing before venturing into the property market.

The architecture and design of different property eras have always fascinated me. So, working in Walthamstow, which is rich in various property types and has a lot of history, was an excellent place to begin.

Walthamstow has always been an area of interest to me because of my family history. They are all local and spread across the area including Chingford, Walthamstow, and the surrounding areas of East London. So I can recommend a good pie and mash if you ever need it! Currently residing a Warner Flat, I'm also a local Stower myself, which is funnily enough where my family started!

I began my career as a Sales Negotiator, and now I am proud to be a co-founder and director of Estates East. I cover the E17, E10, E11, E7, and E4 postcodes and with the guidance of Neil I continue to further my knowledge in the field, although sometimes, I feel like I am the one teaching him instead!

I am now heading up my new team, all of whom have been personally trained by Neil and me. Our main aim is to ensure that buying, selling, letting, or renting your property is a smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable experience for you.

We aim to stand out among other estate agents and I believe that our efforts are evident through our marketing strategies and commitment to the local community that I've had the privilege of being a part of for the past decade.

Anyway that's enough about me, check out the rest of my fantastic team here: Meet the Team

Richard Strong

Richard is in charge of all the “unseen” stuff that makes the rest of what we do work. If everything looks calm and collected on the surface, that's because he is working hard to make it so. From accounts to regulatory, from copywriting to HR, Richard's role encompasses and covers all of the back office processes that every business needs to have in place.

Away from work (which given the chance he will tell you isn't often enough!) he likes nothing better than pottering around in the garden at home, although we understand that's usually on the promise of a glass of something cold once he's finished!
